Kea students learnt how engineers design and construct buildings to withstand earthquake damage by building their own model structures using toothpicks and marshmallows. They experimented to see how earthquake-proof their buildings are by testing them in an earthquake simulated in a pan of Jelly.
Hi room 5 that marshmallow toothpick construction thing looks really cool just add a bit more detail and it will be perfect.
ReplyDeleteHi Kokatahi, I'm Hannah from Awahono School. Building things out of tooth picks and marshmallows sounds fun. My class room 5 did something similar to what you did because we had to build something to see who could make the strongest, tallest and most creative. Did you have fun and did you have to work in groups? From Hannah.
