Pukeko Class has been learning about measuring area...how many plates does it take to cover our tables?

Has all the area/ space on the table top been covered?  Are their any gaps?  Are there any overlaps?  Are plates a good idea for measuring area accurately?

Pukeko Room have been comparing Chinese and Maori Legends

Maori legend "Rangi and Papatuanuku" compared with Chinese legend "Pangu".

Pukeko Room have been practising their 'ch' words this week

A caterpillar visited our class on Wednesday and we put it on our "ch" table because it changes (from an egg to a tiny caterpillar that chews and munches to a bigger caterpillar to a chrysalis to a butterfly.
We also had cherries, chalk, cheese, chocolate, chair, cheetah, Chinese lady, chain, cheeky chimp and a chirpy chick,
We also noticed that the words Chris and chrysalis have a ch but they make a "ck/k/c sound".
