Numicon and Better Start Literacy Approach

The children from the Pukeko room were able to show their parents last night how they use the Numicon (Maths) and Better Start Literacy Approach (Reading) in their learning. Both these programmes are new to our school and will be implemented in the Pukeko room during 2021. Thank you Ingrid and Denise for organising this.

Clued-up Kids day 2021

Our Years 5/6 students participated in the Clued-Up Kids event in Hokitika today. Clued-Up Kids is a targeted safety initiative organised by WestReap. There was a range of agencies involved and the children rotated between 8 workstations: Ag Safe Training, Animal Safety, NZ Police, Emergency Management, Community Public Health, St John, Rail Safety and Fire Safety.

What a great idea. Thank you, WestReap.
